The best way to learn and understand is to experience it first hand.

Pinecliffe’s nature program, quite simply, is designed to help our girls create an awareness, appreciation, and overall comfort with camp’s natural surroundings. Our program provides campers with hands-on activities, using both story-telling and interactive discussions.

This approach means that our campers get to learn, first hand, about local ecosystems. Instead of just seeing pictures of ocean tidal pools and the life within, the girls will actually visit tidal pools, feel the water and seaweed, and pick up starfish and sea urchins. What better way to understand the geology and power of a waterfall than to swim in a plunge pool and stand under a waterfall? They’ll do that too!
