Tennis

Much like the traditional grounds of Roland-Garros at the French Open, tennis at Pinecliffe is played on classic red clay courts, two of which are lighted for night play.

Great Courts, Great Tennis

Not only do our courts provide a unique and fun surface for our campers, but the slow bounce is particularly conducive to both learning and training.

Personal instruction, with never more than four campers per court, enables both the beginner and expert to improve their game throughout the summer. Drill tennis is also offered as an elective, giving all campers the chance for extra tennis instruction throughout the summer. For the more competitive player, we also offer rest-hour drills, private lessons with instructors, as well as match play.

Pinecliffe’s inter-camp tennis team continues to be one of the best in the region, participating in many inter-camp matches and invitational tournaments at summer camps throughout Maine. The skill and age level of these competitions varies, giving many of our campers a chance to participate.
