Camp Pinecliffe is a private summer camp for girls 7-15 years of age, located near Harrison, Maine. It was founded almost a century ago in a magnificent natural setting. Susan and Patty Lifter, third and fourth generation directors, continue to carry on the family tradition as active directors.

Through the years, Camp Pinecliffe has created a warm, family atmosphere with many happy, funfilled educational experiences for its campers. The basis for the camp's success has been the philosophy that guides it today: teaching campers to live happily and successfully with others.
The focus at Camp Pinecliffe is on the individual camper. The camp's goal is to encourage each camper to make her Pinecliffe summer a happy, learning experience to remember.
Harrison, Maine has been Pinecliffe's home for almost a century. It is 40 miles (1 hour) northwest of Portland and 2 1/2 hours from Boston's Logan International Airport. Pinecliffe itself is located at one end of Crystal Lake and is the only camp on the lake.

Pinecliffe hosts campers, ages 7-15 from all over the United States as well as England, France, Puerto Rico, Spain and South America. One of the camps' distinctions is its geographic diversity.
The Juniors, ages 7-11, are divided into nine cabins with eight campers in each. The Seniors, ages 11-15, live in larger buildings. There are never less than two staff members living in any cabin.
Pinecliffe's loyal teaching staff numbers 85 members, providing a staff-camper ratio of nearly 1:2. Staff members come from all over the United States and other English-speaking countries. Counselors must be at least 18 and in college. Pinecliffe is proud of our rate of return amongst staff members; especially our Heads of Departments.

Most counselors teach a specialty and serve as bunk counselor. Three counselors are assigned to the youngest age group on a full-time basis. Counselor positions are available for qualified persons. To apply, please mail a resume to the Camp Director at the address below.
Three registered nurses reside at Pinecliffe. The camp doctor is based in Bridgton, a 10 minute drive from camp.
Religious LifePinecliffe is nondenominational. There is a weekly nonsectarian service planned by the campers, in which everyone participates. Campers who wish may attend church services in the community.
TransportationMost campers fly to Boston, Massachusetts, where they are met at the plane and bussed to camp. Application Timetable
